  • Bowls (Diameter 4.25"): Made in Limoges, France

An Exclusive Orient Express Creation

Atelier Philippe Allemand, a storied cabinetmaker and marquetry expert, shares its talents with everyone from major institutions, like the French Senate and Le Mobilier National, to private art lovers. Its commitment to savoir-faire values was recognized in 2015 after receiving the ’Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant’ label.

The Wood

The wood used in the tray’s design—dappled mahogany, macassar ebony, and balsamo wood—are inspired by the marquetry of Orient-Express cars.

The Design

The tray features a melding of straight lines and sinuous curves, symbols of Art Deco style, which nod to the Orient Express’s interiors. Three Bernardaud bowls complete the set.

The Brass

Shiny brass handles, reminiscent of the lights and luggage racks on the prestigious train, make for an eye-catching design feature.

Anatomy of the Tray

The tray features three round notches to secure bespoke Bernardaud porcelain bowls.
